We welcomed over 90 women and 50 children from the Ishar Multicultural Women’s Health Services in Mirrabooka to the Avon Park in York. The women come from many different countries mostly as refugees. Everyone loved the morning tea ‘Australian Style’ with scones, jam and cream, lamingtons and anzacs washed down with home made lemonade and we supplied a delicious fried rice pack for lunch. It was fabulous to see so many happy, smiling faces and am sure they have left with special memories of the outing. Thanks to everyone of you who help make the event so successful. We are a great team and we made their day a little brighter. A big thank you their English teachers Helen and Tamar Green and to the RCS members who organised the day.
