Pitt Brook Revegetation Project Friday 31st July 2020

Make A Difference – All Welcome

We have approx 8000 reeds to plant along the degraded Pitt Brook in the RCS managed Conservation Reserve at Mt. Hardy. Note that this is NOT the Mt Hardy DBCA Reserve. This is the first step of a long term plan to rehabilitate our Reserve, with special attention to the salt scalded areas being our first priority. If you would like to be part of this day but cannot plant there are other volunteering roles on the day so come and hep us in any way you can!

Registration commencing at 9am, followed by a briefing and a short talk about the Reserve, then all hands into planting! A delicious BBQ lunch will be provided for all volunteers. There will also be an onsite toilet and hand washing/sanitising facilities.

Directions: Starting from the Gull Service Station in York head north-east on Balladong Road, turn right onto Panmure Road (becomes Quairading-York Road). Travel approx.10km on Quairading-York Road, turn right into Wrights Road, continue over rail line to T intersection, turn left into Wrights Road, parking on left. Look for RCS signs and banners. Please park off the roadway as farm machinery uses this road.
