Members can be involved in as little or as much as they like, we are an active group and welcome all levels of expertise from beginner to environmental virtuoso!
“Get involved, learn about your environment and have fun doing it.”
Members care for local rivers, streams, wetlands and bush as well as participating in revegetation programs and conservation projects managed by the River Conservation Society. These can range from scientific surveys of flora and fauna to land management and maintenance. Meetings are often held in bushland reserves in conjunction with a busy bee or a walk and talk through the bushland. Members are currently active conducting a survey into Rakali in the Avon River pools, revegetating fire mitigation tracks along the Avon River walktrail, compiling a Herbarium of local plant species and various other environmental activities.
